Welcome to the unique world of

Gerard Swarbrick's

historical narrative maps of northwest England

Here you will find historically accurate and æsthetically pleasing hand-crafted maps of, principally, the 'shire' counties of north west England.
Many historically important buildings - and events (including the Millenium) - are highlighted, making these maps both a delight to view and an enlightening visual record of the localities they represent.
All the maps are printed on fine parchment quality paper, in strictly limited editions varying from as few as 100 up to (for the Wirral Hundred map) over 1800.  Each is signed and numbered by hand, by the artist, Gerard Swarbrick.
In many cases a large number of the maps have already been sold - snapped up on issue by collectors alerted by newspaper articles & features in magazines such as Lancashire Life & Cheshire Life.
Now, Gerard Swarbrick has chosen to widen the availability of those remaining, via the internet, to all who have an interest in this part of Northern England ~ wherever they now live. Maps & prints are despatched rolled in sturdy cardboard mailing tubes, anywhere in the world, for the price displayed - there are no further P&P charges.

Please take the time to wander though these delightful evocations of the parishes & towns of West Lancashire.  They both show modern features & celebrate reminders of a more peaceful time; all lovingly depicted by hand in a truly unique series of historical re-creations informed by the personal researches of the artist, Gerard Swarbrick.
What better reminder, in this fast-changing world, of how things used to be!
